Hi, I'm
Naod.

I build things for screens and I talk about it online. Software engineer by training, curious about how interfaces feel, currently studying Human Computer Interaction at Bauhaus Universität Weimar.

Naod Tadele

My story,
short version.

I grew up in Addis Ababa and started writing code because I wanted to make the apps on my phone behave differently. That turned into a computer science degree at HiLCoE, then four years of building real products for real people.

Along the way I built a food delivery app for a startup in Addis, travel dashboards for a team in Lagos, a plant reminder app that lives on the Play Store, and a browser game about coding by vibes. I care about the small stuff: the tap that feels right, the loading state nobody notices, the layout that quietly makes sense.

In 2025 I moved to Weimar for a Human Computer Interaction programme, which is a formal way of saying I want to understand why people do what they do in front of a screen. I also make videos about building software, because explaining a thing is how I learn it properly.

Outside of that: art galleries, long walks in unfamiliar cities, and an ongoing argument with myself about which side project to finish next.

What I'm good at

Building interfaces

React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind. Reusable components that other people can actually build on.

Mobile apps

Flutter and React Native, from first screen to Play Store release, including the CI pipeline.

Design and research

Figma prototypes, interaction studies, usability thinking picked up in the HCI programme.

Working with people

Talking to non technical users, translating design intent, shipping with backend teams across time zones.
